Greg Ivie was born in Southern California. He moved to Thailand with his family when he was 6 years old. His father was in construction, building roads for U.S.AID
In 1969 the family took a new job in Ethiopia East Africa, and then in 1975 Greg and his family moved to Tanzania, East Africa on another U.S.AID project. Living in remote areas of East Africa helped Greg learn to overcome obstacles and look at situations and problems differently.
This helped him acquire a unique way of finding solutions. (For instance in the late 1980s when Home’s weren’t selling due to loss of value. Greg found a solution by negotiating with the banks in the form of short sales.)
In 1981 Greg returned to California to attend college. Shortly after returning to California, He was in a car accident that left him paralyzed on his left side. After a year of intense therapy, Greg regained the feeling to his body but the left side of his face remains paralyzed. This is the reason he wears an eye-patch.
Greg acquired his real estate license in 1984 and has Enjoyed being a matchmaker ever since. (Matching families with the right home.) Greg has always liked the hunt of finding good real estate investments for his clients.
For the first 16 years, Greg was a Top producing agent with Century 21, and he headed a mentoring program for New Agents.
In January 2000 Greg and Kathy opened Ivie league Properties And their business has flourished due to referrals and repeat clients.
Over the years Greg & Kathy have rehabbed several distressed homes. Greg has a vast knowledge of home construction and knows what it takes to get your home ready for a fast sale. He also has a working relationship with all tradesman necessary to do so.
